My Very Dear Father/
I wrote you when at Batavia but do not
know when it will get to Land. In Brother Saml letter
I have given a short account of the voyage etc there-
fore in this I shall endeavour to touch upon other
subjects. Through much mercy God hath been
pleased to bring me thus far in peace & safety and
I have moreovere enjoyed a tolerable good state of
health - I shall now touch upon percuniary matters
and inform you how much cash I have spent
on the Voyage - At the Derwent for washing ? }
