Dear Thomas

As an opportunity offers up to
give you a short detale, if our precedants, since
the departure of all my family, which took
place on monday last, with now small pleasure
to some of them, as I have reasons to believe they
where much allarmed, on account of the desperate
out-rages of the natives, which are realy awful.
On last Lords day, as I was in may little room
composing and committing to paper a Morning Prayer
about five in the afternoon, a messenger arrived
with newse that, two natives had just informed him
that the whole boddy of Cundenorah natives intend
ed to attack Mrs Mcarthurs Farm to plunder and
murder all before them and from thence to proceed
down to Mr Oxley's to act with them in the same manner
and from thence to our farm which you must
judge gave me a sevear allarm on account of
the little ones -
I immediately proceeded to Mr Low for protec
tion whome I found ready to afford every
relief to assist, he immediately sent off the guard
of soldiers stationed at his farm, also all the many
