I need not say how much I esteem my Dear
Brother - and believe you are snsible of the
place you have in my affection. Thus I now
bid you farWell - Yes I must - Far Well
Far Well - May the Lord Jesus Christ be
with you whilst on the ? Ocean and
? you safe in health and piece of mind
to your desired haven, strengthening you
in your inner Man, to enable you to undergo
all the privations of this life, is the cincere
and fervan prayer of your loveing and

Thomas departed Sydney aboard the Kangaroo on 9th April to this letter had to be written before that date. however, as I could not find it in the catalogue, I have dated as the date he records receiving it, 6 May.
