[Letter 2]

Macquarie Grove

5th July 1822

My Dear Brother

I was happy to hear yesterday
[indecipherable] of your health and all else.
You will be sorry to know that
your dear little girl has been very
ill with a cold and cutting her teeth
all last night - she was in great pain
and greater part of today - I am at this
moment quieting her with that which
is her only comfort while writing to you
but I must expect due to [indecipherable]
at this time and therefore must be resigned
[indecipherable] my loveis fraught with
affection for which accept my thanks.
i am happy to think I shall soon
have the pleasure of visit. Also
glad that Elizabeth and Mary will come
I hope [indecipherable] dear Eliza will accompany George
