Lees, Coldstream, 17th Octr. 1856

My dear James

Your welcome letters
from Camden of the 4th July were
forwarded to me here yesterday
and gave me the great satisfaction
of knowing that up to that date
you were all well. I trust that
you soon afterwards got over all
stiffness from the fall from Marmion.
I conclude that you, as well as
I, must in future confine ourselves
to the riding of thoroughly steady
animals, as well as sure footed.
I shall make this a short business
letter. Enclosed with it you will
find a B. of Lading of 5 cases
wine and one case Cellar bellows
