across this one – She must
have written to me about your
kindness to F: Bowman
you see – And I recollect her
complaining to me that in
spite of all she did or had
done they still asked for help
you will also see how she
offered me help . And a home
with her – of course I accepted
neither – but I like to recollect
her kindness – and she evidently
meant it by her legacy –

She once gave me £50 – and
"for riding for the boys"
