Sir,  
I have the honour by direction to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 15th August last, forwarding 150 printed Circulars requesting particulars relative to the Aboriginal names of places with their meanings in this Colony, and in reply to inform you that the Circulars have been distributed amongst the various Police Stations as suggested with a view of obtaining the information asked for, which will be forwarded to you when received.
