And findeþ hom plente Inou· of þ^t hi habbeþ nede to ·
fforte ich habbe wiþ hom ispeke· and hore message ise
God leue as hi me bihoteþ wel · þ^t hit mote mi prou be
his heste was fol wel iholde · me aueg hom [?]air Inouh ·
þe king touward þulke Ile · sone þere after drouh
þo he to þe ile com· to seint austin he sende
þat he to don is message· diþ is felawes to him wende
¶C Seint austin him greiþed wel · [and?] his felawes echon ·
Fforto fiȝte aȝein þedeuel · and to bataile gon
hy made þe signe of þe^[a?]us · oþ^r Armes nadden hi non
Fforto do þis bataille · and to ouercome hore fon ·
Aсrois of seluer wiþ þe-forme · of god hi lete rere
And in astude of baner · to uore hom alle bere
And ȝeode forþ wel baldeliche · as hardi kniȝtes [and?] gode
And siwede hore swete baner · wiþ þe forme of þe rode
¶C hy gone to singe þe letanie · for prou of þe londe

And sede hme erende· f^[ra]m þe court of rome ·
