My health has been bad the latter part of past summer & so far this fall & yet have chills & fever which renders me unable & unfit to hold a court and as the time for the Decatur court in my Circuit is approaching, I have to request that you will appoint Micajah Bullock to hold the November 1847 of the Circuit Court of Decatur County the commission or authority-to Mr. Bullock I wish you to send to me immediately by mail, that I may send it to him if I should be unable to hold the court or not deliver it should I walk to hold (illegible) I hope I shall be able to perform that duty (illegible)(illegible) I (illegible) I very much desire that suitors be not disappointed & there fore request the appointment of Bullock & that you send his commission to me. The court commences on this day week on the 15th (illegibile) so that you see there is no time to be delayed in forwarding the commission. I intedn to go myself if it is possible & therefore wish its commision sent as above requested.

P.S another reason why I wish the commission sent to me that I have written to another Judge from whom I have recd do answer but may soon JS.
