I hereby tender my resignation the office of Brigader General of the 18th Brigade Tennessee Millitia.

My other engagements will prevent me in future from the discharge of the duties of that office and for that reason you will confer a faivourupon me by receiving My resignation and issuing a writ of allocation to fill the vacancy. The Major Genl. of this division is absent (Genl Has =Kelly) at Washington.
