Dear Sir- I received your note a few days since to which I now reply that I am a little surprised at the difference of opinion , as to facts which exists between us-
I write this not to make a statement of facts to you as to money now due me in Nashville. Some 15 years ago A suit was brought in the Federal Court by one Hamilton for some Lands in this county, my Father was one of the Defendants. The results was that Hamilton had the cost of pay- however in the mean time I have some "two hundred" dollars of costs to pay in the way of witness fees & to which I am now entitled under the judge -ment of the Federal Court,-Hamilton died insolvent, but Robert Armstrong of your city was his security: I would like it very much if this money could be made off of him. My claim would am't to some 3 or 400.00 dollars.
