new apple orchard are very fine. There are great many pretty wild flowers now. especially the violets. Charlie and I were talking about you last night, and we geussed that you would think things looked changed a little since you went away.

We all went fishing the other night, but did not get may fish. I got some lovely crabapple flowers, that were worth going "clear down to the river" for.

I do not get any birds to skin - I am sorry but, we shall expect Uncle Flint and Major home tomorrow, and then I shall hope to get some.

We don't get any snakes. and although I carry a bugging bottel myself and [illegible] all the rest to, we do not seem to get many bugs. I think they all have got frozen up.
