Dear small girl
I got yesterday a jolly long letter from home (one from mother too) and one from Charlie & Alia each - all of last Sunday -
Tell Poddy I got a 3.0. Bacher segar with that money he sent and smoked it to his health.
I cant write well enough tonight to answer mothers letter which I will do next time -
Delighted to hear of Petes numerous accomplishments But whenever he is given mice teach him to kill em softly and not "chaw em up" too much - He must learn to catch snaiks, and frogs too but never let him eat what he catches please - and teach

him if possible to bring too to you whatever he catches -
He will be invaluable to me if we can train him properly to catch mice etc without crushing them. And for this purpose he must from the first never be allowed to eat these.
Charlie I suppose will be gone north by this time so I do not answer his letter yet -
