I received your kind letter of Feb 25th in yesterdays mail, Mother also received one of a later date; we wer'e glad to get them both for we did not hear from you by the last mail. It appears to me that it takes our letters a much longer time than is necessary to come from Washington.

I have been busy all the morning, sweeping, making beds, dusting, washing dishes, washing windows, ect. We all feel entire confidence in your ability to do right, and take care of yourself: and

as for your "falling in love" I trust you have too much sense to think of such things for five or six years to come. however I think it is an excellent thing for you to cultivate the acquaintance of all the ladies that you can. With much love Sister Dalce
