The Grove March 12th 1858

My dear Brother -

No letters from you yesterday. Hope we shall get one tomorrow.

Charlie and Frank came out wednesday, Charlie is going to stay a little while; He is talking and thinking about going down to Salem to start a nursery with Mr Rennels, We should hate to have him go away so far, but if it would be for his interest to do so, we should not of course wish him, not to go.

Frank stayed only one night - He has not been very well for the last few weeks. Major went with Frank to Chicago - to stay a few days; previous to "digging in to hard work". I expect Guy Cutting will bring him home sunday

Charlie is grafting to day,, Uncle Flint is helping him.

Bruno and Flint spend most of their time petting their "beloved dog" which they think is the most wonderful puppy that ever lived.

We are going up to the Folly this afternoon.

Yesterday I received a long letter from Johnnie and also one from Marie.

Pluna is going away Sunday, We hope to get another girl but can't say we expect tooo

I can't write in conciquense of my thoughts flying off all the time to a n disorderd pantry, that is awaiting a pleantiful application of soap and water at my hands -
