Mr Kennicott

Dear Sir

Not long since I wrote a letter, and received an answer from your Father in regard to saving the skins of birds, and also about preserving animals insects &c. ,as I was desirous of making a small collection of such things, Your Father also sent me your Art Circular, which I have read, but I did not obtain information from that to enable me to prepare them quite well enough, and I would feel obliged to you if you would inform me how to wire the skins, and what about the eyes of birds. And if Alcohol of more than 75 pr ct strength will eat up small things that are placed in it, and any other matters you may think would be of benefit to me in saving these things. And I will try and satisfy you for it. Please address to Peter DeRocher, Leoda Iroquois Co, Ills
