Dear friend

Your letter of the 18th h. was received yesterday and changed my mind, as I was prepairing myself to visit Catskill.

You shall see me now in Chikago with my brother Julius about the 27th

Osten Sacken can not leave Washington this time as his Chef Bar Shockl[?] is going to Europa - consequently he has now the charge of the Legation.

I leave N. York to day for Niagara - where I intend to stay over Sunday to see my friend there. After that - I go direct to Chikago.

Should it be possible for you to make arrangements in regard to free passage - I would like it very much. My best respects and thanks to your parents and sisters for theyr kind invitations.
