Messrs Kennicott & Ulkes, the bearers, are particular friends of mine, deeply interested in studying the Natural History of the North= Western States. They are now exploring portions of our own state of Wisconsin and I bespeak for them the kind attentions and assistance of my friends and others whom they may meet in the course of their present tour of observation. The results of their explorations will be of much importance in making known the natural products of our state
