Dear Sir,
I have written to Prof Trowbridge accepting his proposition by which you are to be employed in selecting the specimens in of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institute, and in arranging them at Ann Arbor. Prof. Trowbridge as forwarded to me your letter.
We do not think your terms unreasonable. It will be very important that you visit Ann Arbor on your way to Washington to examine our rooms, & to give directions as to the arrangements to be made preparatory to the arrival of the specimens.
I am yours very resptly R. Kennicott Esq. Henry P. Tappan
