Dear old Brother.

Thermometer at 28[degrees] Colder yesterday - I am afraid that Old Winter is upon us - but still hope We have about 200 dollars worth of trees in the barn packed to send which is a bad show. Charlie got his five tons off all Right - Lots of fun for me you can bet -

I suppose that I have been pretty busy the last 20 days I have got off about $18 00 worth trees for Father We have lots of Flowers in the house this Winter - Crysanthemums are fine - Do - violets - verbinas etc My highest wish now is to have a Green house cost about 150..00 But there are other things Etc Better times are Surely coming We never Did So much business or At so little cost before

I should We have been unfortunate In losing Old Charlie Horse So as not to Get any Fall plowing[?] done

Mr Chase is staying here I like him he is like Mr Hinde Only Better (more good) Not Smarter We have had little company Lately Except Guy & Frank The C Clarkes have not been able to get here thro the mud Carrie is to go to school Dec 1st I am afraid that She will not come out before She goes - I Shall be too busy to go in [word crossed out] Just my luck as Mr Pepper Said When the Dr said he couldnt live Sarah Manders is skearce the boys cant find their[?]
