The time begins to seem long since you left home. How soon do you think we may hope to see you. You can hardly imagine how lone some we are this winter. you three boys gone, and now Alice is away too, leaves us only Cora, Ira, and Flint, and they go to school, so you see we are quiet enough. We have had less company this winter than we ever had before, and been out less. I was glad to have Alice go, for all we miss her so much. She has not been from home before since you went away

Aunt Dele is away too, I suppose the children have told you she is in town having a new set of teeth - Did they tell you Aunt Carrie has named her baby Guy? Sorry you are disappointed in losing the survey - but hope something will offer that will be as well for you, hope more, that it will not be any thing that will take you far from home, -

Can you send a pattern of just such wristbands and collars as you want for your new shirts / or had we better wait until you get home before we make them? I know you must have many temptations in the way you live, but believe you will do nothing to discredit yourself Mother
