The Grove. Sunday-just after dinner
Dear Bob.
I did not write you last sunday did I? It was because Mr Chase and Frank came out saturday evening and we were all busy visiting with them. I am so glad you are coming home and so soon, and so sorry you are going to stay so short a time. We have not been over to Evanston yet. I was in hopes we should go while you were at home. I hope you have not forgotten that we like Mr Stinson (shells rather).
Your crocuses and snow-drops are in bloom and the Siberian Jquills[?] soon will be. Frank brought out

some beautiful flowers last evening. one and red camelia and one variagated one - two beautiful azalias - some other little flowers and a quantity of sweet, sweet mignonnette[?] that makes the whole room fragrant.
We expect Mr Chases two sons in a week or two probably to spend the winter summer with us.

PS That is my name in telagraphic letters which I have been learning to make. Pete is very well and a wonderfully smart dog ----- -- - -----
