Dear Bruno
I did see Bindie in New York and I was agreeably dissappointed by finding her better looking than I had expected. She has gotten a little too much of the New York style already though. - A little too formal and artificial perfectly self possessed for a young lady of her age without knowing it herself tho. I should think for she came out honest and original now and again.
I called on her twice; the first time I was particularly stupid and awkward and didn't observe her as much as I wished and I staid a day longer in New York on purpose to call again when I heard her talk more -
You ask how I like her - I reply Et li laundy sanndy - which signifies I hardly know myself! Not so well that you need feel jealous I reckon. By the way she complained that on her last visit to The Grove - "Bruno was not as devoted as formerly" -
