Lansing. Michigan Jany 15. 1863

Dear R.

I am here at Lansing on Railroad business. And shall be detained here six or eight weeks I am afraid. I enclose letter to Mr Ross. & Hardisty. Which I wish you would forward with a line from yourself. And a package of schedules to each. Ross asked for a dozen. half of which will be enough.

Will you also do me the favor to send schedules to the other persons you named to me. I shall not be home in time to attend to it.

Dr Henry will send out the letters.

I see now that I must loose the best part of the winter from my Indian work which I much regret
