Dear Paternal
Col Foster writes that he has asked for a pass for Bruno over Chi Pittsburg & Ft Wayne R. R. and it will probably be sent to Prof Baird - (Col Foster wil be absent in Canada) Prof Baird will write to day for a pass of over Pennsylvania Central R. R.. -
I will also write to H. R. Walker of Detroit. - Thus there will be some necessary delay -
As you've failed to give me the remotest idea of what the intention is respecting Bruno's coming I've hardly known what to do - I shall now, however, try hard to get the passes at any rate - Most of you write that you'd like him to come

come; but there is no further comment on Majors first decided objection.
The collections from the north have arrived - got here a day or two since and I'm as busy as I can be if not more so. - Getting well on it though. Reckon there is no remedy for any disease equal to a resolve to be well!
It will be over a week from now before Bruno can get the passes probably. I hope he is doing something. He'd better write to me pretty often - He finds it not easy to write. - Very likely! If it were easy there would be less need for his writing.
I must hurry now as I'm at work to day -
Love to you all Bob.
