Dear Mother.
I rather think I shall try and get home the early part of June. - I find I can get through what work there is that absolutely requires my presence here, this month. - Im getting confounded homesick and tired and this warm weather dont do for me here. - Im getting to feel a good deal played out and get tired too easily - I reckon well be home early in June -
I got a letter from Dr Blaney a day or two since He is Medical purveyor at Norfolk Va. If we go down to Fortress Munroe Bruno and

Bruno and I will go to see him
We do not go to Ft Minn roe to day as intended because of the difficulty in getting passes down the river at this time when there is probably fighting going on in that region. - We will perhaps go next week. -
I'm afraid Ill have to write very short letters as Ill be all the more busy if I go home so soon -

He is well and not homesick as much as I am. -
