Any telegram to me at same address will reach me (free of cost) if sent from Chicago as late as 9. A. M. Monday March 20th will sail at noon.

If any of you have questions to ask please dont mix 'em through your letters - or else repeat 'em in a seperate memorandum - (not on a little scrap of paper but on a page of note paper at least)

Ill asnwer everything fully after I sail. I cannot now stop to tell all my plans for the boys. -

I hope to leave $500. for them. I propose that this be added to whatever Bruno has and shared between them in

whatever proportion Jem finds advisable - Bruno will naturally need more than Flint. - Flint on the other hand will need to be supported at school or college longer than Bruno - Therefore there is no injustice to Flint in Brunos spending considerably the most at present. Whatever Flint spends on Natural History Ill try to provide for outside of this fund - or will make it up afterwards - of the amt I leave for the boys Ill ask George Walker to invest about $200. if he can get big interest - $300 will be kept in a shape to be immediately used - probably The whole $500 will be entirely in Jems hands to be used for the boys at his discretion

The boys will be provided with enough money to support them fairly till educated even in case of my death. - Rely on this.

I object to their attempting to earn money outside - It wont pay.

$1500. per year would not be so good for them as their present chance to learn. - Did they not know that they must scratch for their bread & dinner after a time - were they wealthy they would not study half as hard as they do.

I'm pleased with them both. They are doing well especially Bruno who is getting eager and impatient. Dont let em go to The Grove much

much. - it is too pleasant there particularly for Bruno.

If Flint goes into Natural History, he might go to The Grove to collect without harm. - If however he spends his time at Aunt Carries I beg that you will not let him fool you or you let your feelings decieve yourself - but tell Jem to just stop his furlough. and keep him in town or send him elsewhere to collect.

My present idea is to let Flint devote his Saturdays & Sundays - or as much time as he can to collecting under Stimpsons directions provided he can at the same time keep up his studies to the full mark.
