Dr Sir
I have been trying to get time to visit your place this fall; but I now despair of being able to do so.
There are some rose bushes & some roots that it will not do to set out in the spring. These I want sent to me this fall if you can do so without their injury & I suppose the sooner you do it the better.
I have some walks on which I wish to place perenials, as annuals are too troublesome.
I want a dozen Plox } Different colors Do Iris } & varieites of course
1 Doz Peonias. different colors. 2 Doz Tulips 2 Doz Hyacinths 1 Doz Narcissus 2 Doz Crocus 1 Doz Lillies of diff varieties
Then put in a few pink roots, & a little something of every kind of perennials that you may have, so that my flowers will be in bloom the year around.
Send about fifty rose bushes of varieties that it will do to take up in the fall, & let them all be of different varieties.
