D Sirs,

Some how I Received your Catalogue. I am trying to start a nursery here, though I have not made all the progress at it yet, that I could have expected, last winter, I worked at Mrs. Finsley & DWires at Davenport, Iowa, and got some stock of them to start on this spring. Some of it has grown well and some not, on aacount of my inexperiance, Etc. and the dry Spring, - this fall I want to plant all the cuttings that I can get. and Seed, and cover with brush & straw Etc. and see if I will have "better 'luck[underlined]".

- I would like to make an arrangement with you, if you would. something like this: I would like to get a lot of Rose [canes?] from 3 to 5 ft long, of the best kinds = a general assortment, = several thousand, suitable to make cuttings. and a lot of the canes, Etc. of Honeysuckels & other ornamental Shrubs & Climbers Etc, grapes, Willows, Etc Cuttings; of the best - a general assortment, several thousand, of such as will grow from the Cuttings. = I would like to get a good[underlined] lott. so that I can get some of the finer stock. also a large lot of the best Currants[underlined] & goosebery cuttings - the best-general assortment, - as many as you can[underlined] spare[underlined], and a good assortment of berries, Etc. flowers, Etc. - I could pay you a small part next Spring and the rest the Spring after, and give good Security - - I would like to know what you could do for me and what advice you would give me, Etc -
