be preferable for me to get. The American Red Cedar is not of the handsome a green as the American Arbor Vitae so far as my observation has gone- it is not so livelyHow would I do it to intersperse- set in one row, firstArbor Vitae then Red Cedar, and to alternate?

If it is not too late? Send me along a neat variety for a hedge such as you may deem most suitable- though mind- I desire plants that are hardy, and will succeed as a hedge- I do not wish to experiment- Your reputation gives me every confidence that you will eval? fairly Dr P. R. Hoy who is my firiend,a nd a man of much taste and experience in such matters suggests that the trees should be planted about 18 inches apart- I shall therefore require 43- if I am right in my calculationsI do not know how much money to remit, so I shall be obliged to as you to sendyour bill the amountof which I will pay immediately- I enclose Dr Hoyt note.

Very truly yours I am Your Obedient Servant Eliphalet Cram
