Chicago, Ill Oct 1st 1857 Dr Kennicott Sir:-- I wish to inquire of you - crossed out -- have if you have on hand, @ tolerable assortment of bulbs of flowers of different varietes. I shall want some Tulip bulbs in the course of a week, and perhaps of some other kinds . If you could send me a catalogue of the different kinds and varieties you have, and a kist of prices you would do me a favor. Or, if you have no catalogues you might merely mention a few kinds that you have, and give the price of some choice and desirable varieties. But particularly would I like to know what varieties you have of Tulip and Lily buds (if you have any to dispose of.)
