on account of the extreme ? neys if the season, very few came up. They all came up this year , and we have budded them. So that next fall, we will have an abundance. As to peach stones- we do not know how many we will be able to collect. We have now gathered about a barrel, and a large number of farmers have promised to save us their stones. How many will fulfill their promises will be known when we go after them We think we will have enough at any rate to spare you a bushel. Peaches, as we arote you have been rather scarce with us this year. Nearly all of our trees have been killed off- and the the greater part of those that bear fruit are at quite a distance from our town. We have endeavored to have all we could saved for us, and will probably set some ten or twelve bushels.

We are not acquainted with any locality in our neighborhood where the spieces? Marylandica grows No frost to hurt anything yet. Is it not unusual? Everything is still growing with us, through the frost begins to put on its ripest hues. Yours Respectfully, Samaker & Place per M. A. Lanahy

We have no plum-- The Magnolia Acuminater does not grow anywhere in the region. The only place if my acquaintance where it grows is in North Western Newark. MAL
