Kankakee City, Ill. Feb 25th 1858 Dr. J. A. Kennicott Dear Sir Yours of the 20th inst is at hand. I shall be glad to accept your offre to exchange Tulips for my evergreens. I have a complete variety & full stock of Peonies also of shrubery with a few exceptions. I have about an acre in Pieplant which I intend to extend to five in the spring- I find it very profitable to cultivate for the marketI would be willing to pay the cost of packing the extra sized apples in money which I suppose would be deducted from the price $15. per C. (I should want them well packed in mates)
