John A Kennicott Esq Dear Sir yours of the 2" Instant came to hand this morning contents noted making. Enquiring aboutan order send by Mr W.S. Whitehualt- last fall for me to you for a lot of Daus & C Since theorder came to late last fall to ship the trees Safety, I have changed my mind not to have my order filled this Spring, my reason for doing so is this I have commenced putting up my residence and out Building this Spring and considering the danger of having them or some of them destroyed by the hands at work on the grounds that I want to plant them have thought it best to wait until fall before I set anything out as after my buildings are up I can arrange my grounds to suit the difficult (illegible) which I shall want If I live till fall you shall have an order from me I am very thankful to you for you [illegible] about the trees & C
