urbana Apr 22nd 1858 Mr Kennicott Dear Sir Your letter and the box of roots, has been recieved, and I am much pleased with the selection of plants, I am so little acquainted with flowers and their names the I hardly knew what to send for, I hope before I get any more I will have a chance to visit your Nursery, and then I can select such flowers and shrubery as I yet wish to get, I want you to reserve two large sized Mountain Ash for me, and a good variety of Peonies. You wished to know whether I had Corydalis Nobilis, and some others you mentioned. I have none of them. I wanted to send for the corydalis - but did not know what the name of it was, untill after I had sent, the roots came in good order
