Urbana Ill March 11th 59 Mr. Kennicott Dear Sir I received a letter from you in [Dee], with a request in it that I should write to you this month and remind you of the eigth Peonias, that were not sent last foul, I presume you will remember about them, I should like to have the Peonias but am sorry to trouble you with so small a package, if Mr Carle had not of been visited by bard ^times along with so many others, I should like to have you send one about ten dollars worth of shrubs and plants ^ [illegible] spring but I preserve I shall have

to be contented with what I have this summer You said if I wished to get any thing this spring, that you would wait untill fund for the hay, I thank you very kindly for the offer, but I prefer waiting wuntill I have the money to pay for them, You wished me to write the names of the Peonias that were sent I have nine of them and the other has got mislaid, the [illegible], old red, rose scented, chinese white, tall blush, single white, single violet, spanish dwarf, chinese striped, were sent, I see som eof them are coming up, I hope I shall have the good luck to have them all grow, We have had a few days of quite pleasant weather, but this evening appears, as if winter was
