Status: Needs Review

Cayuga, Ils. April 26th 1859.
Dr. John A. Kennicott, Grove Nursery, Cook Co. Ils
My dear Sir, I am so much pleased with the splendid set
of trees you sent me that I must add a good dose
of gratitude to their cost. Please receive 21. postage
stamps, as the balance you say is still owe. I intended
to write for more trees, but hear the cars are stopped again,
& it may be too late to set them out this spring. I
hope to procure some in the fall & bury them till
nature's next annual resurrection.
Very Respectfully
B. J. Bettelheim
