I received a letter from you a few weeks since and now if the Lord is willing it shall be answered.
Im attending school, we have a good school but rather ordinary teachers there is no[underlined] government and consequently there is more whispering and play goeing on tha studdy, I am making but slow progress. I find that I know but very little, in fact I am not half so smart as I tho't I was.
All of the Family are well and I trust happy.
I gave Laura that hugging for you and she said I would like to see Major.
There are great excitements

goeing on here now.
Two [illegible strikethrough] protracted meetings, two [Writing?] Schools, one Singing school and parties nearly every night.
Laura has experianced [inserted: a or e] religion and is a very good girl, she is very sincere and I think that if there is any thing in the profession of relegin she for one will be happy and will eventually be saved. [Well?] Major I will write more in my next. All send love and we are all as happy as [pigs?].
Yours Truly Willie
