Enclosed I send you a full report of the "National Fair" - in accordance with my promise - I wrote to you last week and since then I have obtained the promise of Dr Roe to furnish an essay - for your report - did you receive my letter of last week? -

to James N Brown at Island Grove - There is a proposition to call an educational convention at Springfield the week of Christmas, if called it will be by the opponents of the "Industrial - League and our[underlined] friends[underlined] should all be present if possible so as to [controne?] the - meeting if called - As soon as I get full information on the subject I will write again. please acknowledge the receipt of this
