Dear Professor,
Many thanks for your card, it was very
nice receiving it from you. I am very pleased that
you had a safe journey back home. Your wife
and family must have been very pleased to have
you back again.

The weather here is fine only very windy
but we can expect it, as the South Easter blows
here very strong during the summer months.
At school we are preparing for our final
examinations, and schools close on the 8th
December and we return back on 15th January.

Both my husband (George) and I am looking
forward to your coming back to Cape Town
some time, and we hope that your wife will
come along this time. We shall save very hard
to come over to see you, but we shall
have to go to Australia first, as my daughter
is over there. She is married to a Hollander,
so they cannot stay here.

Mrs Smith sends her regards, and will write
later. By the way, I feel that we became such
good friends, that I feel it quite unnessary for
you to call me, Mrs. La. Meyer, please make it
Cynthia, I hate pomp and ceremony.

Do let me know when it's the best time to
spend a holiday over there, summer or winter
or during the in between seasons.

Well this is all for the time being. Do write
soon.

With kindest regards,
Yours sincerely,
Cynthia
