Your favor of 7th inst. we received & note the Contents. the Hhd molasses was delivered in good order & cooperd before the Waggn set off. for which you had his receipt — are sorry for the Loss sustained therein.
The Tobo now sent the Inspectors have promised to have it looked at on Monday it being out of their power at present, the Tobacco sent by Forest & Wood have forwarded by Rich Trosset on Wednesday last & shall send you the notes for this by first safe hand. We are at present entirely out of Rum neither can I procure you any here, but at such a price, that would not [please?] there is no W India Rum to be had even at Norfolk under 3/9 Cash for [?] & there is no Norward Rum on this [page torn] to be got, but [?] the [Load?]
have made up with fine salt — have wrote to Norfolk for Rum against your waggons come down again & also for the Cloth &c you ordered before We received your Letter now sent.
