My own child

Your dear father was better yesterday - but today he com plains of the same sinking sen sations that distressed him so much on Sunday - I believe the weather is distressing him we have a very great blow of cotton & we fear this weather will occasion considerable loss to us - I shall put Maria and Rhina in as soon as the weather clears - I almost en vied Mr [Cater?] when I saw how clear her fields looked yesterday in fact some of the hands were helping John [Demess?] - but I aught
