Magnolia July 3 1846

Sir this will inform you that I am in tolerable
helth only I have not bin sick but I feel
a little unwell I have not much to write
at presant cotton looks tolerable only it is
jenerly small but verry well formed
it is all clean in the drill except 2 days [hoe in?]
and that is not bad I have about one days
plowing yet then I will think I am
tolerable clean the corn is tolerable only
it is firing verry much on the account
of being so thick in the drill but will
make a tolerable crop if it has rain
we have had no rain since satturday was
a week but it looks verry much like
rain to night I have bin troubled a
little with sickness caroline [elis?] child has
bin sick since monday last with fever
and spleen Dr puckett paid it a visit
yesterday evening but it is better to night
I think wilson sick but not dangerous
sore leg and dropsy in the feet dinah came
in last night sick but is better to night
the rest of the negroes is all well &
pregnant complaining betsy runaway last
wednesday morning I have not heard from her
since what was the cause I dont know
