Status: Needs Review

Moreover I felt rather hurt at the injustice
which had been either wantonly or thoughtlessly
done me, in placing me in seeming antagonism
to you or a member of your family, by acting as the
counsel of one who was indulging in grave charges
and vague threats against your daughter, It is
not so my friend, and never will I be found in
any such position, until my heart has become
dead to all, the sacred memories of the past,
and I exhibit myself to the world as more of
the sordid professional [hiding??] than I trust I
shall ever prove to be, In this matter or any other
involving the interest or honor of yourself or any
of your family; you will always find me in the
right place and you may rely upon me as upon
your second self, You say that you will not
respond to Mrs Medway’s letters, It seems to me
however that it would be better to send her a brief
communication informing her of the sickness of
your daughter, and state that probably she may
hereafter be addressed upon the subject of her letter,
leaving it to the future to determine what course
you may deem is most judicious to pursue hereafter.

I regret extremely to hear of the
severe & protracted sickness of Miss Annie, With
the hope that she may soon be restored to perfect
health and with my best regards to Mrs Cameron
and Miss Rebecca, I am now and always

Your friend
Joshua G. Wright.

P. C. Cameron Esq.
