I inform you that your friends and the Neighborhood are generally well I also inform you Mr Hunter Has Nearly Completed the abutment at the dam the work is done Entirely to my satisfaction I should Be glad for you to see it as think it the Best piece of work I have Ever seen done in Northcarolinia things are going on very well in the mill I Have made I think Nearly one 100 Bushels of [?] Corn though But little wheat owing to the scarsity of that article I would wish you to write to me as it is not Convenient for me to see you what you think Corn ought to fetch at Six months Credit so that I may act accordingly I Hope I shall see you Before I get weat Enough to Make a load of flour Jerry Has not got His winter shirt not pantaloons for which He is very Bare please to Make some arrange ment about them and oblige your

Sir,
Through the recomendation of [?] Allen and John M. Roberts Esquires, we have taken the liberty of Enclosing you for Collection four Notes with a Statement of the same leaving a balance of $1781.01 due us from John Sharp of your County, we would thank you to take the most Expeditious Mode of Collecting the Money or any part of it that May be Come at as from reports there is some doubts as to the solvency of Sharp]], and that he has Made over to his Brother Boston Sharp all his Estate, perhaps he may have made provisions for this debt of ours = amongst the notes sent you will discover one with the names of A D. Murphey & Thomas Scott perhaps they may be able to make payment so far as they are bound this is a unlikely Verry hard case as we had to take the note Up in bank this day as pr Mr. Roberts Receipt herewith. with a full reliance on your friendship
