Cloudy but pleasant -- About town as usual -- Evening took supper at Jack Plant's residence, with he & family, sang songs & had pleasant time -- Then went to Theater -- Georgie Woodthorpe Company engagement of a week -- Play tonight was "Little Lord Fauntleroy," with Georgie Cooper in the title role -- A wonderful juvenile actor, & good troupe -- Bed 1

Cloudy, PM good shower of rain laid the dust to muddiness & made me feel a whole lot better in hay fever -- Getting over it some -- anyhow -- I constituted by myself and James, a meeting of the Centennial Gold Gravel M C this PM and levied asst of 1 cent per share -- Was at Enterprise and to bed at 2 --

Same -- First white frost of the season this morning -- I was about town as usual -- Evening at Opera House -- Gen Paul Vandervoort Ex-Chief Commander of the G.A.R. addressed a big audience on the political situation, Silver or peoples Party standpoint -- Talked an hour -- 20 minutes -- Good speaker but he simply asserted and declaimed, without argument -- Silver Quartette, 2 gents & 2 ladies from Reno sang several campaign songs, rather poorly -- Stewart was announced to speak, but wasn't there -- I was at Enterprise afterward -- Bed at 1:30 -- Cloudy.

Clear & cold with ice in the morning, Was about as usual -- Wrote & sent letters to wife, State Secy Grey and Secretary C H Stoddard of the State ( ) Society Reno -- Stewart made his big speech in Gold Hill this evening -- Many from here to hear it -- Bed 1 -- My four page letter to Jones went by this evening's mail. Very windy night -- so furious at times as to do considerable damage about town --
