Fair, clear day -- Everybody shoveling snow -- A few roofs and awnings were caved in or blown out during the storm -- I was about town as usual -- Evening at room principally -- Bed 12 -- clear & very cold -- The V & T RR all clear -- The regular passenger train & mail laid over from last evening departed at 6 PM, on time for Reno. The telegraph wires across the Sierra are revived, but the CP trains are demoralized as yet by this boss of all storms so early in the season --

Cloudy & cold -- A light snowsquall about 10 AM -- PM I attended regular monthly meeting of the old Exempts -- Declared a divident of $49 each -- 31 members -- from the big surplus in the treasury -- Elected officers for ensuing term, as follows, Bart Burke, President; John Piper, Vice President; Fred Plunkett, Secretary; Joe Guggenheim, Treasurer. Bed 12 -- Clear & dam cold.

Same -- Got my Exempt divident this PM $40, including dues paid to Jan 1 1893. Paid my Odd Fellows dues $7 to Jan 1 -- also several other bills, etc -- Bed 12 --

very cold -- 12 degrees above zero -- Going up to my room this evening about dark I slipped & fell up on the winding stair almost fracturing a rib or two on left breast.

Same -- Variable -- cold -- Bed, 12 -- This evening I took the Pioneer Group picture, 24 x 30 in size from the International Saloon where it has hung the last 2 yrs and brought it to my room -- Was presented to me by Mrs Patterson shortly after Bob's death --

Same -- Wrote & sent letter, enclosing a $3 postal order to Shepard & Dudley, wholesale druggists, etc, New York City for a dozen catheters (4's). Got my last from 2 yrs ago -- Evening about town -- Bed 12 -- The regular express & passenger & mail train left at 5:20 this evening instead of 6 as heretofore -- will so continue.
