Captain Charles C. Doten, of the MEMORIAL, has taken a vacation for the first time in nearly sixteen years of editorial duty, and is now on his way to the Pacific slope. The objective point of his journey is Winnipeg, Manitoba, but the trip may be extended to Vancouver Island Captain Doten is accompanied by our Boston correspondent, and the two gentlemen have the best wishes of their MEMORIAL friends for a grand good time, with the hope that the progress of these pilgrims may occasionally be reported.
