affair tallies with yours.

The Whole thing is just as
plainly before me now as
it was at the time -- so far
as I saw -- but it was you
as I remember, who took
poor Reno from his horse
and you no doubt have a
vivid remembrance of the
circumstances -- I remember
very distinctly that Dr.
Cutter gave it as his pro-
fessional opinion after
a careful examination
that Reno was killed
by our own troops
