Hi Harry & Joan,
Thought I better "report in." Should have written to you ages ago to thank you again for having been such angels. I've missed everyone and the ranch so very much. Realized when I had been home a few days just how much Donner Trail Ranch, Joan & Harry and the friends I had left behind had done for me. Thank you again.

I decided upon returning here that I could not cope with making any decisions until I completely relaxed so I just coddled myself for a few weeks and let the world go by. Now it is out of my system and Im ready to go full steam ahead.
I've had several offers for jobs but last Sunday I had a long distance call from the Mattel Co. (toy mfers.). I had sent them my resume in answer to an

ad for a retail specialist in this area. I have an appointment for an interview with them in Washington for Thursday. I would represent them here in the whole state & be responsible for demonstration of new toy lines, instore training programs, inventory control, market research studies, sales, sales promotions and quality control inspections. They offer excellent starting salary plus car expenses, plus training.
This is the type of position I'm most interested in. Isn't Phil with them? I can keep my real

estate license on a part time basis.
I called my brother-in-law who owns several department stores in Mass. & he found out for me that the company is owned by a woman & that she is a smart gal. If I don't land this job I hope to find another similar one through him.
My daughter starts her vacation Sat. so we plan to drive to Mass. then to visit my sister & then go on to see my brother on Monday. We'll drive back Thursday as Shirley Ann has an appointment

Friday to have four wisdom teeth removed.
It is just great to be alive again and -- free! Tell your "inmates" that it will be rough for the first few weeks after they graduate but to just give in to their laziness and make no decisions. Afterwards they will be so refreshed and then as they say -- "A whole new ballgame will start for them." This is the most glorious part of it. We all have a second chance to
